David Green - Youth Pastor
Husband, Dad, Student Pastor, Middle School Principal, and a sinner saved by grace....that about sums me up if you were to Tweet my bio. But, you may want to know a little more about me. Like my favorite candy or my favorite sport or whatever. On a serious note, I became a Jesus-follower at 14 years old and now in my 40's find myself in the middle of student ministry. After volunteering in the student ministry at Rose Hill for 11 years, I felt God's calling to serve Him in Gospel ministry. I was ordained and became Rose Hill's Youth Pastor, a role I've PLAYED since 2011. Why in the world is PLAYED capitalized? Because serving God has been the thrill of a lifetime! Think back to the best toy you ever got as a child. Now imagine that toy never getting old, never breaking, never getting boring. Got that image? I bet it brings a smile to your face...and that's what I mean by PLAYING.
Serving God in student ministry never gets old and never gets boring.
So you may be asking, what is the heartbeat of Rose Hill Student Ministries (RHSM). In Matthew's Gospel (22:37-38), Jesus gives us the greatest commandment and then the 2nd greatest. Imagine that! Of all the commands we find in the Bible, Jesus ranks the top two. And that's our heartbeat- to Love God and Love Others.
The cherry on top of getting to serve? Getting to serve alongside my beautiful wife Susan. We also have two awesome kids, Zach and Hannah. But in case you are still wondering....I'm a serious twizzler-lover and a baseball fanatic! Make sure you follow us on social media:
Angie Vanover - Childrens Ministry
If you had told me 12 years ago I would be in Children's ministry I would have told you, you are crazy! Now fast forward 12 years and here I am in the heart of children's ministry! I gave my heart to the Lord at the age of 12, and surrendered to ministry at the age of 16 but it wasn't until the age of 30 that I answered the call to children's ministry! Why did it take me 14 years to answer that call? I'm glad you asked! Like most young adults I wanted to be in control of my life, not wanting to give control to God, but as a faithful God would have it He got my attention and life hasn't been the same since! God gave me a love for children and their families. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it." This is the heartbeat of Rose Hill Kids Ministry (RHKM). We want to partner with families to bring their children to a life changing experience with God! How exciting is that! When I'm not hanging out at the many activities of our Rose Hill kids I enjoy shopping and vacationing with my friends in Florida while trying to get more steps on my Fitbit than them! The only thing more exciting than walking 10 miles a days is watching my daughter McKenzie play softball for Kentucky Christian University where my husband Steve is one of the coaches!

Jennifer Whetsel - Financial Secretary
I was born and raised in Ashland, Kentucky and graduated from Paul G. Blazer High School. I worked at Kentucky Power for almost 19 years. My husband Lee and I have two children. Our son Ryan currently attends Kentucky Christian University and plays linebacker for the football team. Our daughter Kayla attends KCTCS and is in the Applied Process Technology Program. Our family joined Rose Hill Baptist Church in 2001. In July 2006, I became the daycare director for Rose Hill Christian Child Care Center. During this time God impressed upon me that all of life is a ministry as I dealt with these precious children each day. In November 2010, I joined Rose Hill Baptist Church staff as financial secretary. I am blessed to be involved in the Lord’s work.
